While freelance work and opportunities dried up during the COVID-19 pandemic, I saw it as an opportunity to put down my camera for a bit and really focus on my graphic design. I would say even a year ago, I was really intimidated to do any in-depth projects in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator but then I took a class to learn the basics of those programs which really broke the ice. Since then I have taken off on my own and I am always excited to open my laptop and start a new project. I have a strong confidence now that I can cover all bases that a client may need. I already consider myself very capable doing photo, video, and editing and now feel very comfortable doing any graphic design.
I have an online shop on Redbubble which is a marketplace for user-submitted artwork. This summer I spent a lot of time watching YouTube tutorials and practicing my design skills while making artwork for my shop, which is dominated by sticker sales. So here are some of my favorite designs I have made so far this Summer. I made a lot based off some of my biggest passions which are the outdoors, dogs, and sustainability.
